Brief Introduction of Geocell Confinement System

With the expansion of the production scale of geogrids and the improvement and innovation of geogrid production technology, geogrids have been widely used in the construction of roads and railways, some wetlands, swamps, ports and other civil engineering projects. Handling is more keen to use geogrid. Due to the function and characteristics of geogrid, it can greatly reduce the workload of civil engineering and improve the work efficiency and quality of civil engineering. Geogrid series products are becoming more and more popular.
Geogrid System Characteristic
The advantages of applying geogrid in road engineering are as follows: (1) increase the integrity of subgrade, improve the bearing capacity of subgrade and prolong its service life. (2) prevent cracking and collapse of pavement structure to ensure driving safety. (3) the construction operation is simple, which not only saves labor and labor, but also has a short construction period. (4) it can be used as grass planting mesh pad on subgrade slope to beautify the environment. (5) instead of metal mesh, it can be used for false roof mesh in coal mine.
After the subgrade is leveled and compacted, the geogrid shall be laid in time and positioned according to the design requirements, and the soil shall be filled and covered in time after anchoring, so as to shorten the exposure time as much as possible. If necessary, backfill can be done at the same time as the grid is laid to improve paving efficiency. In terms of specific operation, firstly, the filler is spread on both ends, and after fixing the grid, it is gradually advanced to the middle. During the rolling operation, follow the rolling sequence of the two sides first, then the middle. The pressing wheel cannot directly contact the grille, and cannot drive on the uncompacted reinforced body. During the layer-by-layer compaction, the thickness of each layer is controlled at 20-30 cm, and indicators such as compaction and flatness are checked in time to meet the design requirements.

Application in filling section
During the subgrade filling construction, if loose filler is used, it will affect the subgrade sloping construction, cause land waste, increase the construction cost, and is not conducive to the later rolling operation. Laying Geogrid on the slope can improve the slope stability and achieve the compactness index; In the road reconstruction and expansion project, the application of geogrid can promote the close combination of old subgrade and new subgrade, improve the integrity of subgrade, ensure the uniform distribution of load and avoid the deformation caused by stress concentration.
